CHLAMYDIA AND GONORRHEA ARE RUNNING RAMPANT IN MINNESOTA.
In 2009, Minnesota had nearly 16,500 reported cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea, with seven out of 10 cases occurring in 15-24 year-olds.

SYPHILIS, ONCE ALMOST GONE, IS BACK.
Think syphilis is something from the past? Think again. In 1999, there were 19 new early syphilis cases. Ten years later, in 2009, there were 117 new early syphilis cases – a 515 percent increase. Over the past five years, the cases have more than doubled from 49 in 2004 to the 117 cases seen in 2009. Most, but certainly not all, of these cases were among men who have sex with men.
